    Philips Pronto universal remotes

Has anyone tried using any remotes from the Philips Pronto range to control lighting? It seems to me that sending ethernet commands out should be possible provided there is the interface for it in the Pronto.

Just thought I'd ask before tackling Philips.

I've used the earlier pronto range where all the IR sequences where built on a PC then downloaded to the remote over a cradle connection.  The range of IR codes was very good.

I've signed up to the Prontoscript manual and report back when I get it.

     Andy,

Just after I posted this, I talked to the European support person at Philips in the UK and he says this is possible with the Pronto version of Javascript which will run on the remotes.

So my conclusion is that this will work, but for the moment I will not be doing the programming since the AV supplier is providing the Pronto, so he can do it with my guidance.
