    Blind control

I want to control 2 sets of blinds which are controlled on a 2 contact system. (One set of contacts = up, the other = down) These are mains voltage contacts so would have to go through the webbrick relays. The client wants to be able to put the blinds at whatever height he fancies, so what I have proposed is that one set of contacts will go to relay 4 and the other to relay 5. Since there are 2 sets of blinds, 2 webbricks will be needed for this. There will be 4 wall buttons to control the blinds. the two top buttons will control the up motion of the blinds and the bottom: down. My questions are as follows:

     1. If top button and bottom button are pressed at the same time, will this damage the blind motor?

    2. The client wants it arranged such that a quick press will completely open/close the blinds but a press, hold, release will allow the  blinds to be set to any position. How is this done in the gateway?

    Re: Blind control

At the basic electrical I would wire the power through the first relay to get on and off and then through the changeover contact on the second relay to get direction. The two contacts from the blind are connected one to the normally opne contact and the other to the normally closed contact. The common of thet relay connects to the normally open of the first realy and power to the common.

To get the control variation will probably need the gateway involved. Set up the switch to trigger both edges and use this to do On/Off through a scene controlling both relays.

Pick up multiple trigger cound (double click, but in this case will be 3) in the gateway and issue a Dwell for long enough to fully opne or close the blinds.

    PS.

    Sorry for delay:
