Here's a note of the various energy saving and management features we have in WebBricks:
- HVAC management uses accurate sensors to avoid temperature overruns and maintain stable room temperatures
- HVAC interlocks heating and cooling functions so that they cannot run simultaneously
- HVAC uses weather compensation
- HVAC ability to disable and set-back zones that are not in use
- HVAC early start function only brings on the zones needed (when only one person in the household has an early start for work, travel etc)
- Occupancy function connects to HVAC to control heating, ventilation and heat/recovery systems
- All off and set-back buttons for the front door
- WebBrick power consumption 0.6W
- Gateway (blue box) consumption 6W (measured at the 12V supply)
- Gateway uses CF rather than hard drive to reduce energy consumption and heat
- WebBricks have internal high efficiency power supplies for rail voltages
- WebBricks have low loss MOSFET OC outputs for switching relays and LEDs with minimal losses
- Internal LEDs are pulsed at a low mark/space ratio to reduce consumption
- URPS has low lost MOSFET switching for changeover and battery charging
- Gateway HVAC module makes the most of residual or low grade heat
- Gateway HVAC module can switch off 24V ancillary power supply
- WebBricks can use internal relays to switch off downstream dimmer packs when not required
- PIRs can be used to drive off-timers so lights are switched off on no movement
- Dayphase module can drive ultra low energy LED lighting in circulation areas to discourage use of main lighting
- Remote Internet control allows peripatectic home users to control HVAC and Lighting
- Energy monitoring allows home users to see where their energy consumption goes
- Scenes allow lighting to be best directed for room functions (cleaning, relaxing, eating etc)
We recommend that PULS power supplies and low energy Ethernet switches are used with your WebBrick installation for maximum efficiency.
