    Appliance manual Start-Up / Shut-Down Process

The appliance is configured to restart itself automatically as soon as it's power supply is connected. Should you for any reason have problems accessing the appliance and believe that it has not started up correctly try the following as applicable:

    Shut Down the appliance:

If the green light is on, the appliance is running.

    • Try to press the power button briefly, you should hear a single beep and after a few minutes (less than 5) all lights on the front of the appliacne should turn themselfs off.
    • If after pressing the power button briefly you do not hear a single beep from the appliance, then this may be due to 2 different reasons:
    1. The appliace has not completed its startup process yet
    2. The applinace is locked up.
    •  We advise that you wait for a few minutes (10 minutes is sufficient), check the green light is still on and press the power button briefly again. If you still do not hear a single beep, then please perform a hard reset.

    Power Up the appliance:

The appliance is preconfigured to start itself automatically as soon as its power supply is connected. It should therefore only be necessary to start the appliance manually, if you have performed a shut-down or a hard-reset manually.

    • Make sure the appliance is off (all lights on the front should be off)
    • Press the power button briefly. You should hear a single beep and the green LED should turn itself on.
    • The normal startup process takes just under 2 minutes. If you do not have an internet connection, then this process can take several minutes longer (allow at least 10 minutes)
    • During the start up process you shoudl see the blue LED and the amber LED flash a irragularly
    • Once the start up process is completed the amber LED will flash every few seconds (5-10 seconds)
NOTE: If a few minutes after powering up the appliance you hear three beeps, the appliance has had to rebuilt its file system and will restart itself again. This should only occur if a hard reset was performed or the power supply was removed whilst the appliance was running. This is nothing to worry about, it only means that the start up process will take longer.

    Hard Reset

If the appliance cannot be accessed and cannot be shutdown using the instructions above, then a hard reset has to be performed. For this press and hold the power button in for 8 seconds (until the green power light turns off). The appliance is now off.
