Finding the webbrick on the network

For the benefit of future starters:

I don't know whether it is something specific to my network (Cisco router with a 24-way switch before the Webbricks) but trying to access 10.100.100.100 from my web browser only gave "Server not found").

The solution was to use WebrickMon.exe (fior each Webbrick at a time) which is great for morale as it confirms existence of the Webbrick on the network, and then change the Webbrick address using the input field at the bottom to 192.168.xxx.xxx

Maybe someone could reply with a guide to suitable IP addresses to use for ones Webbrick network.

    Hi Richard

The way i do it is to set the ip address individually (not connected to the switch). Set each one up with there ip address and connect to the switch, using the 192,168,1,xxx range. However if you are running on a busy network with maybe HDMI distributed and music streaming to Sonos as the WebBricks only run at 10mb half duplex this puts a bottle neck into the system unless you are using managed switches. However you can configure one of the LAN ports on the WebBrick Gateway as a 10.100.100.xxx address and put the WebBricks through that as your interface to the WWW.
