Running on a QNAP 209 Pro

..similar to last time really, and I suppose you can detect my direction. I'm looking to secure as few piecies of equipment as possible.. The QNAP Pro (www.qnap.co.uk) is a 500MHz SOC already running Apache and SQL, so looks on the outside like it should be good enough to run the gateway? Is this viable? I'm looking to run the upnp server on this also, so I suppose there may be a little processor b/w issue but they all should be pretty thin processes and I don't intend to raid so I'm thinking it may be suitable Cheers, Ian.

Re: Running on a QNAP 209 Pro

The WebBrick Gateway is available now as an "Appliance" product, in an embedded PC/X86 pizza-box form-factor, and will soon be available for installation on Windows platforms.

We are willing to consider any number of other form-factors and architectures, but will need to guage the engineering work needed as it compares with the purchase volume you're committing to.

The QNAP 209 Pro appears to be an ARM machine, running Debian Linux in at least one configuration. As such, the work involved in compiling & installation should be relatively small, but it's still work for us, and the testing of any new platform is not insignificant.

Please do get back to me in private email with details of your proposal, so that we can quantify this opportunity.
